I want you to meet Dan. He's one of several hundred recall petition verification volunteers across the state working in one of our more than 20 recall processing centers. Dan is from Stevens Point and his job is to carefully look over each recall petition that crosses his desk line-by-line, name-by-name to screen petitions for errors and mistakes.
I have some incredible news to share with you.
In just over 24 hours we are already more than a third of the way towards our goal of raising $150,000 to keep our recall offices across Wisconsin open!
We don't have the Koch brothers, but we have a lot of people giving what they can. Can you chip in with a donation of $10 to keep our offices open so we can recall Scott Walker?
I have some urgent news to share with you about our grassroots campaign to recall Scott Walker. It won't happen. We won't recall Scott Walker. We won't restore workers' rights. And we won't elect new leadership that Wisconsin families can trust to create good-paying jobs and get our economy working again.
That's what we won't do if we don't meet our goal of raising another $150,000 by December 16th so we can keep our unprecedented grassroots operation going strong through the sleet and snow ahead.
Wisconsin voters might have fond memories of a popular Governor who once upon a time wasn't afraid to break from strict conservative ideology.
But sadly, after leaving Wisconsin Tommy Thompson admitted that Washington changed him. And just last week, while speaking to right-wing Republican spokesman Charlie Sykes, Tommy proclaimed, "I'm a different Tommy."
He wasn't kidding.
Tommy Thompson's positions are like the Wisconsin weather. If you don't like them, just wait a few hours.
Prior to Scott Walker taking office, Wisconsin was known around the world for our laws and traditions that encourage all citizens to directly participate in their democracy, regardless of their age, race or socioeconomic status.
In less than a year, Scott Walker and his cronies in the legislature have done everything they can to shred Wisconsin's democratic traditions in order to shut out those who disagree with their extreme agenda:
Scott Walker's extreme buddies want to amend our Wisconsin constitution to ban common forms of birth control and outlaw abortion across the board -- even in cases of rape and incest, or if a woman's life is in danger.
Will you stand up for Wisconsin's women by telling Scott Walker to end his war on Wisconsin women?
