Back to School: Public Education Struggles To Survive Under Scott Walker

Summer officially ended for thousands of students as they headed to the bus stop this morning to fill classrooms in schools across Wisconsin. While it’s routine for schools to start educating young minds around this time of the year, some schools almost didn’t have the chance to see another school year thanks to Scott Walker.

That’s how we expect government to run here; leaders in the state Capitol allowing local governments to make their own decisions and to ensure that those authorities receive their fair share of tax dollars.

Why Scott Walker is to blame for Wisconsin's job creation woes.

With his term almost over, Scott Walker has not even created half of the 250,000 jobs his central campaign promise depended on.  Yet Walker refuses face the measure that he set for himself almost four years ago.  While his own administration admits that there is no way he will make good on his promise, the governor and his allies have blamed his failure on everything from capitol protesters to the weather.
