Does Sean Duffy Want Grandma to Get Back To Work?
His Republican Leader Does
MADISON - The man Sean Duffy would pledge allegiance to as leader of the House Republicans said this week that seniors shouldn't be allowed to retire until they're 70,
Though Duffy previously has voiced support for plans to deliver Social Security over to the reckless greed of Wall Street, Duffy has thus far remained silent on the proposal by House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) to break the ages-old covenant with seniors to retire and receive benefits that they already earned.
"Voters of the 7th Congressional District need to know why Sean Duffy supports John Boehner and his plan to deny seniors the Social Security benefits and retirement they earned through years of toil," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Wednesday. "The covenant made with America's seniors to deliver them from crippling poverty in their twilight years must never be broken, especially not by reality TV stars whose celebrity is used to hide their extremism."
