War on Women, Criminal Corruption, Record Job Loss and Historic Division: Scott Walker's Not-So-Super Saturday
Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate in response to failure Gov. Scott Walker's "Super Saturday" campaign event.
"Implicated in a sprawling criminal investigation, salting the earth for jobs creation in Wisconsin and facing record job loss as a result, rolling back democratic freedoms won over generations, dividing our state like never before with a special emphasis on treating women as second-class citizens — this Saturday is anything but super for Scott Walker.
"Scott Walker's reckless pursuit of power and serial dishonesty have triggered the largest grass-roots response Wisconsin has ever seen. There is no doubt he will be able to leverage his vast sums of sleazy corporate cash, as he has today. It is also true that his piles of money, at the end of the day, won't be able to vote. And when the people of Wisconsin do vote on June 5th, it will be to rid our state of Scott Walker and to let Wisconsin be Wisconsin again."
