Job Title: Deputy Coordinated Operations Director
Reports to: Coordinated Chief Operating Officer 
Salary: $7,000/month, generous benefits package
Location: Madison or Milwaukee, WI (Please note: Employment with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin requires residence or willingness to relocate to the state of Wisconsin.)
Start date: Spring 2024

The Opportunity: The Deputy Coordinated Operations Director will be responsible for helping to oversee the operations infrastructure for a statewide coordinated campaign as our operation scales up for the 2024 cycle. The ideal applicant works well in fast-paced environments, can effectively communicate within our team and across departments, and has organizing or operations experience. This position requires some flexible hours and eagerness to assist on any task. This is a termed position through the end of the 2024 campaign cycle.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with the Coordinated Chief Operating Officer to manage day to day operations needs for the campaign.
  • Collaborate on projects with the Operations, Organizing, Political, and other teams.
  • Manage procurement and logistics for office expenses and events.
  • Address operations issues and needs from staff in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all expenses across the organization are tracked and remain within budget.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal skills, customer service attitude, and ability to communicate with people from many backgrounds.
  • Technical Proficiency – Highly proficient in Excel/google docs with experience working from shared databases and workbooks.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • At least two cycles of general campaign experience with campaign operations or field experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity of federal and state campaign finance laws.
  • Prior staff management experience.
  • Prior budgetary experience.
  • Committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
