Reports to: Deputy Communications Director
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000/year, plus a generous benefits package

The Opportunity: As Research Manager, you will play a key role on DPW’s research team, producing research-based products in support of our communications and digital operations and managing DPW’s statewide tracking program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage DPW’s robust statewide tracking operation, including managing Research Tracking Associates.
  • Fact-check statements, scripts, and all other forms of media.
  • Assist with rapid response efforts.
  • Assist with media monitoring for Republican candidates.
  • Provide briefings and research materials when needed.
  • Monitor election activity around the state.
  • Perform additional specific research responsibilities, as directed.

Qualifications (Required):

  • Management Skills – Ability to manage relationships within your team, bring out the best in your employees, and treat employees equitably across lines of difference.
  • Prior Political Research Experience – Previous experience in a political research role, such as tracking.
  • Technical Knowledge –  Prior roles working with resources such as research databases, public records, campaign finance reports, or other kinds of data.
  • Excellent Written Communication Skills – Namely, the ability to quickly synthesize complex information and communicate it in a digestible fashion.
