The Opportunity: As the Research Associate for the Senate Readiness Project, you’ll work with the Senior Senate Advisor and other members of the team to build our research infrastructure for our efforts to elect a Democratic Senator in Wisconsin in 2022. Researchers produce a large portion of the Research Department’s work product and are integral to departmental efforts to hold Republicans accountable. Your work will support our Senate nominee and candidates up and down the ballot. The research associate will be an important member of our team and will work with the nominee’s research team on production of research materials, such as long-term background documents, audio/video research portfolios, and rapid response components. Your work will lay the foundation for the election of a Democrat into the U.S. Senate in 2022.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the research team in reviewing and preparing materials, including debate book materials, transcribing footage, etc.
  • Factually backup DPW and campaign materials as needed;
  • Vet potential event hosts, participants, and organizations;
  • Work with the campaign team to use research to advance the campaign’s themes and goals in earned communications;
  • Assist in circulating clips daily
  • Provide additional research capacity as needed

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Prior research or campaign experience (as a volunteer, intern, or staff) strongly preferred
