Operations and Compliance Manager

Reports to: Executive Director – Party Operations
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience, generous benefits package
Start date: January 2018
Job Responsibilities:
• Complete daily bookkeeping
• Serve as the liaison with external operations vendors.
• Assist in financial management of the organization by completing bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements
• Provide human resources support, including posting of employment opportunities, onboarding, employee file management, payroll and expense processing, and offboarding
• Prepare data for federal and state campaign finance reports
• Responsible for the administration of federal Joint Fundraising Committees including fiscal management and campaign finance reporting
• Ensure that income, expense, and HR processes are completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate records in accounting, compliance, and donor databases
• Provide campaign finance support to County Party, Congressional Party, and Candidate Committee Treasurers
• Manage department interns
• Other duties as assigned

• Background in accounting and financial management
• Knowledge of and experience with Excel/ entire Microsoft Office Suite required
• Human Resource management experience
• Understanding of federal and state campaign finance laws
• Experience using accounting, compliance, and donor databases
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be willing to work irregular hours with frequent weekends and evenings
• Ability to manage details and stay on top of multiple tasks, large and small, at once
• Be a “team player” and assist co-workers with meeting important Party deadlines, stuffing envelopes, and moral support as time permits.
