WisDems Chair Statement on Ron Johnson Admitting He and His Biggest Donors Benefited From Changes He Had Made to 2017 Tax Bill
MADISON, Wis. – In response to Senator Ron Johnson admitting the changes he made to the 2017 GOP Tax Scam bill benefitted his company and that of his wealthiest donors, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“Ron Johnson now admits that his tax policy benefited himself and his biggest donors. One exposé found that three mega-donors walked away with $200 million in a single year thanks to Johnson, and he won’t say how much he took home personally. Wisconsinites deserve a Senator who will focus on lowering costs for them – not Ron Johnson who wants another six years in the Senate so he can continue his self-serving agenda of enriching himself and his biggest donors.”
