Today, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin announced the hiring of a new member of the communications team. Gillian Drummond will join the staff as Senior Communications Advisor with a focus on the 2018 Senate race.
“Gillian is an important addition to our team as we prepare for a successful 2018 cycle in Wisconsin,” said Jason Sidener, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. “Her experience working on democratic campaigns at all levels of government is an asset as we fight to send Tammy Baldwin back to the U.S. Senate and make gains across the state in 2018.”
Drummond has served in a variety of communications roles for Democrats in Wisconsin, most recently as Communications Director for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in Wisconsin. Previously, she worked in communications roles on Mayor Barrett’s 2016 reelection, in the State Senate, on President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, the 2011 Senate recalls, and Mayor Barrett’s 2010 campaign for governor. Drummond will be the primary contact for media inquiries related to the 2018 Senate campaign for the Democratic Party.
