Democrats Deliver Free Masks, Tests to Keep Wisconsinites Safe
MADISON, Wis. – After strong leadership from President Biden and Governor Evers to get Wisconsinites vaccinated against COVID-19, Democrats are continuing to implement overwhelmingly popular strategies to keep the Badger State safe.
Over the past month, Governor Evers distributed over 5.4 million free, high-quality masks to more than 130 different locations across the state – this includes 3.35 million masks distributed in one week from the state stockpile.
As a former educator, Gov. Evers knows that kids learn best when they’re in the classroom — that’s why he’s prioritized distributing masks to school districts across the state, and just last week, Gov. Evers delivered more than 400,000 masks to schools. Gov. Evers is doing what’s right for students, teachers, and families by providing schools with the resources they need to succeed.
Democrats’ swift action to get free resources to Americans is overwhelmingly popular – this morning, a new poll from Morning Consult showed that about 70% of voters support the White House’s plan to send free tests and masks to American homes.
As Democrats continue to work together to combat COVID-19 and ensure that all Wisconsinites have free access to protective equipment, the Wisconsin GOP – led by Ron Johnson – continues to intentionally prolong this pandemic by spreading disinformation.
