Madison – Martha Laning, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, released the following statement about the first Democratic Presidential Debate.
“Tonight we saw a stage full of candidates focused on policies that will strengthen the middle class and provide opportunities for everyone to get ahead.
The debate showed the nation that Democrats are united under the basic value of providing equal opportunities so every hard working American has a chance to join the middle class. We also value the right to vote and every candidate on that stage tonight will work to ensure every eligible voter is registered and able to vote.
The choice voters will make next year is critical to continuing the 67 months of private sector job growth we have seen so far and tonight showed that the Democrats have the candidates who are dedicated to keeping that growth going.”
