Sen. Ron Johnson continues to march in lockstep with Washington Republicans who refuse to do their jobs and consider Judge Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court:
From conservative outlet Right Wisconsin: “Wisconsin Republicans in Congress are holding firm to McConnell’s strategy”
From Huffpo: “Sen. Ron Johnson (Wis.): His office did not respond to a request for comment. But a Wisconsin paper reports him saying his position continues to be ‘let the American people decide,’ suggesting no action until Obama is gone.”
From Bloomberg Politics: “Pat Toomey supports McConnell’s position, as does Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who sent a fundraising e-mail to his supporters touting the obstruction.”
From WDIO (Duluth): Senator Ron Johnson said the GOP majority won’t act until a new president is elected.
From WEAU (Eau Claire): “Some Republicans believe the next president should be the one to make the nomination. Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson said, ‘The highly politicized atmosphere of a presidential election is not conducive to the nomination and confirmation of a Supreme Court justice. It is more fair and democratic to have the president and Senate elected by voters in November decide.’”

Of course Johnson’s blind partisan obstructionism comes as no surprise. Johnson was the first to admit out loud that he and other Washington Republicans would be willing to consider a nominee under a Republican president.
Wisconsinites want a senator who will do his job. But Johnson stubbornly refuses to do so unless it’s at the behest of Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley – neither of whom hired him.
