Statement of DPW Chair Joe Wineke on Barack Obama

MADISON – Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Joe Wineke today issued the following statement on Barack Obama’s victory in the final debate as he made the case for change, while John McCain only offered angry, negative attacks and more of the same failed policies of the last eight years.

“Tonight Barack Obama won because he made the case for change, showed the steady leadership that the American people need, and offered specific plans on the issues that matter to the middle class.”

“John McCain looked like an increasingly angry politician who was desperate for a game-changer, but didn’t get it. McCain started the debate talking about being angry, but he ended the debate angrier. But McCain is angry for the wrong reasons – he seems more worried about the state of his campaign than the state of the middle class families.”
