Tiffany Now Trying to Hide his Shady Campaign Connections
MADISON – Republican State Senate Candidate Tom Tiffany’s latest round of attacks against his opponent are occurring at the same time that the Michigan based, pro-Milwaukee Private School voucher group “All Children Matter” is spending $50,000 to thank Tiffany for his support by attacking Democrat Jim Holperin.

“While Tom Tiffany is busy hurling another round of baseless attacks against his opponent, Tiffany’s friends at the pro-school voucher group All Children Matter are busy sending him thousand dollar thank you notes for his strong support of sending tax dollars to private schools in Milwaukee,” said Joe Wineke, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
“The fact that this group, which has a long history of illegal activity, is dumping money into this race tells voters everything they need to know about Tiffany’s real motives,” said Wineke.

“Maybe the real issue here is that Tom Tiffany is trying to distract voters from his long list of campaign finance violations,” said Wineke. “I’m sure he’d rather not have voters reminded that his campaign has been fined three times since 2004 by the State Elections Board.”
According to the Government Accountability Board (formerly the State Elections Board) Tiffany has been fined three times since 2004. In 2007 he was fined for illegally accepting too much Political Action Committee money. In 2004, Tiffany was fined twice, once for failing to file several required campaign finance forms, and again that year for failing to disclose corporate contributions.
