MADISON – Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Joe Wineke today named Mary Lang Sollinger as the Party’s new Finance Director. Sollinger, who serves on the National Finance Committee for Organizing for America, formerly known as Obama for America, is an experienced fundraiser and community activist from Madison.
“Mary Lang Sollinger brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable fundraising experience to the Party, and will be a strong asset to our team as we work to expand our majorities,” Wineke said. “In order to advance Democratic values in Wisconsin, we need to stay active and aggressive on the fundraising front, and Mary Lang Sollinger will be a crucial part of these efforts.”
In addition to her work with the Obama campaign, Sollinger serves on numerous city and community boards in Madison. She has served as Campaign Chair of the GoodmanCommunity Center, and currently serves on the Madison Area Technical College Foundation Board, the Greater State Street Business Association, the Board of Madison’s Central Business Improvement District, and is co-chair of the Madison RESULTS Chapter. She starts her new position today, February 2, 2009.
