‘Flip-Flop Scott’ TV Ad to Debut April 12
on WTMJ-TV Sunday Insight Program

MADISON – The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today released a new TV ad, “Flip-Flop Scott”, to expose Scott Walker’s numerous flip-flops on accepting stimulus money. The ad will debut on WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) in Milwaukee April 12 during Sunday Insight with Charlie Sykes.

The DPW also launched a “Flip-Flop Scott” fundraising campaign today to help keep the ad up on television and expand the buy into multiple markets.

“When it comes to accepting stimulus money, Scott Walker has done more flip-flops than an Olympic gymnast,” said Joe Wineke, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. “Our new ad shows exactly how ‘Flip-Flop Scott’ has been talking out of both sides of his mouth on the stimulus issue.”

To boost his gubernatorial image with conservatives, Walker bragged for months about not accepting stimulus money. He even penned a column in the Wall Street Journal titled, “Why I’m not lining up for stimulus handouts”. Then he released another column titled, “I will not compile a stimulus ‘wish list’’, and even threatened to sue his own CountyBoard if it pursued stimulus funds.

Then, incredibly, last week “Flip-Flop Scott” released his very own $130 million stimulus wish list and told reporters: “We’re going to go after stimulus money.”

To document Walker’s major flip-flops featured in the ad, the DPW has released an accompanying “Flip-Flop Scott” fact sheet.
