National Republicans Spend on Duffy Like They Do On Bondage Clubs
MADISON — A ballyhooed attack ad by national Republicans on behalf of reality tee-vee star and 7th Congressional District candidate Sean Duffy this past week was supposed to cause a sensation.
Instead, it was a dud, with the national Republicans appearng to have spent about the same amount on the attack ad-$2,000-as they spent on a bondage-themed party in Hollywood.
“In either case, national Republicans didn’t get their money’s worth,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said. “At least with the bondage club, they got some drinks. With Sean Duffy, they got a candidate who won’t reveal his donors, who doesn’t account for his role in a freak show at the Wisconsin Dells, and who pals around with figures who have a shady history of funneling campaign money into Wisconsin.”
