The Guy Who Doesn’t Replace His Divots:
Scott Walker Budgets Lead to Golf Course Woes
MADISON – Having failed to properly budget for the golf season, Scott Walker now is cutting services to five Milwaukee County courses, continuing a diminishing of the once-proud network of links by the failed county executive.
“Scott Walker is the guy who doesn’t replace his divots,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Tuesday. “From a falling-down courthouse to a bus service in shambles. From critical services to the most vulnerable, now even to the small golf courses that average citizens use for entertainment, Scott Walker would rather run for governor than govern with accountability.”
Under Walker, Milwaukee lost its long-time PGA event at Brown Deer Country Club; has seen not just the golf courses, but the entire park system fall to ruin; and now, cuts at five of its golf courses.
“The five golf courses are now scheduled to be paid for based on golfers’ honesty,” Tate said. “That rules out a tee time for Walker.”
