Statement of DPW Chair Mike Tate on Education “Plan”
MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on Mark Neumann’s educational “plan” released today.
“To fund the massive tax cuts Mark Neumann is proposing for the richest one percent of Wisconsinites, he would gut education budgets by 10 percent, resulting in layoffs of teachers, more crowded classrooms, and school programs eliminated altogether. Public education used to be the pathway for working families to get ahead in life. Mark Neumann thinks it’s more important that wealthy people like himself get tax cuts they don’t need.”
