MADISON – While he wasn’t backed by outgoing State Representative Don Friske, Tom Tiffany was able to eke out a spot on the general election ballot in the 35th Assembly District Tuesday – delivering another win for corporate special interests.
In a recent interview on WJJQ-AM, Tiffany stated, “We should eliminate combined reporting” – the very measure that closed loopholes huge corporations have exploited in years past to avoid paying their fair share of taxes, shifting the burden onto middle class Wisconsin families and seniors.
“Big business bigwigs support Tom Tiffany in election after election, because they know he’ll be a rubber stamp for their agenda – especially when it comes to the tax breaks that have lined their already deep pockets,” said Mike Tate, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. “Tiffany has said it himself – one of his priorities is ensuring special interests get the giveaways they came to expect with Republicans in charge. A win for Tom Tiffany is a win for corporations – and a loss for Wisconsin’s middle class.”
