MADISON- Following is a Christmas statement from Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate.
“At the heart of the Christmas holiday is a profound story of compassion, when the “stone that the builders cast aside” came among humankind. This Christmas, as thousands of Wisconsinites face economic hardship, uncertainty about access to health care and a society where the distance grows between those who have much and those who have little, it is worth remembering the story of the first Christmas, when a humble family was forced to take shelter in a manger.”
