MADISON-The Janesville Gazette is reporting that Republican basement dweller Joe Knilans has acknowledged the mockery of Wisconsin laws inherent to his supposed residence downstairs at his brother’s house and has instead leased an apartment in the actual district he represents.
The guilty move does not fix the problem at the heart of a recent complaint filed by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
“Whether or not Joe Knilans is renting in his neighboring district does not correct the original sin. This is plainly a guilty move,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Char Mike Tate said late Friday. “With each passing moment, the stories change, the rationales shift and it becomes clear that Republicans intend to treat the rules and the Wisconsin Constitution as mere playthings.”
