Hours Later Fakes Commitment to Public Transit
MADISON– Mere hours after he voted against an amendment that would have saved $46.6 million in federal transit funding Wisconsin stands to lose because of Scott Walker’s divisive power grab, ultra-partisan candidate for Milwaukee County Executive Jeff Stone accepted an invitation to take a promotional tour on the Milwaukee County Transit System.

“Republican extremist Jeff Stone stood cheek-by-jowl with Scott Walker as he has raised fees and cut Milwaukee County bus routes to the bone, and now, fresh from voting against transportation funds, this partisan insider wants the public to forget his extremism with what is probably his first-ever trip on a Milwaukee bus,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said. “The image of Republican Jeff Stone on a Milwaukee County bus will be the perfect picture of politics as usual.”
