MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl’s career of service to Wisconsin.
“Herb Kohl was nobody’s senator but ours. In an age where partisan rancor and corporate dollars have warped the values and discourse in Washington and Madison, he was the true Wisconsin gentleman, building consensus as a true champion of seniors, children, students, farmers and working families. Whomever succeeds Sen. Kohl, in a seat that will assuredly remain in Democratic hands, will build on a legacy forged in honor and service to Wisconsin’s highest values.”
