Scott Walker Budget Has “Serious Consequences”

MADISON-Wisconsin was first among 24 states in cuts to education, according to a new nonpartisan report that also warns of the “serious consequences” to Wisconsin’s long-term economic competitiveness.

You can read the report here.

According to the report, Scott Walker and his lapdog Republican Legislature cut an average $635 per student.

“Scott Walker has been a failure on jobs, on reigning in spending and on making government accountable to Wisconsin’s working families, but he has crowned us with the dubious honor of leading the country in cuts to education,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Tuesday. “At least we’re “Number One” in something.”
