MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following news that Scott Walker would call a legislative session to focus on job creation.
“Having spent the first corrupt days of his administration focused on power grabs and creating jobs for political cronies, Scott Walker is coming to the slow realization that the people of Wisconsin have seen through his act and now have real data that his economic policies have failed.
The Scott Walker unemployment crisis has pierced through all his phony press conferences and empty sloganeering, at the same time Republicans in the legislature have sought to penalize job seekers and a corruption probe entangles the cronies he’s paid off with lucrative political appointments.
Wisconsin is in a job mire that’s been exacerbated by the empty posturing that Scott Walker has shown again today. No rhetoric can hide the glaring fact that unemployment has risen on his watch.”
