Conflict-of-Interest as Tea Party Extremist Included in Hearing
The Green Bay Press Gazette reports that Ribble sought to manipulate safety regulations in the roofing industry which affect his family business. The paper also reported that while Ribble neither sits on the House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections nor the full Education and Workforce Committee, he pushed to be included in Thursday’s hearing and advocate for special interests.
“Reid Ribble likes to pander to Tea Party extremists in his attack on government, but it’s not government he hates, it’s government that doesn’t put money into his family’s pockets,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Saturday. “This $10,000 represents a total conflict-of-interest and must be returned.”
