MADISON – Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate upon learning of the passing of longtime journalist Dick Wheeler:
“We are saddened today to learn of the passing of the undisputed dean of the Capitol press corps, Dick Wheeler. His fair, hard-hitting, hard-nosed political reporting and his commitment to making Capitol news accessible to all Wisconsinites – regardless of their proximity to Madison – all are contributions to Wisconsin journalism and democracy that will not soon be forgotten.”
