A Fresh Start to Clean up Milwaukee County's Scott Walker Disaster

Apr 15, 2012

MADISON – Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following the election of Marina Dimitrijevic as chair of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.

“Scott Walker left Milwaukee County in shambles, including $400 million in pension obligations, raised property tax levies, costly deferred maintenance and a culture of corruption that Wisconsin is just now learning about.

The election of Marina Dimitrijevic provides the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors with a fresh start to clean up the total mismanagement and crookedness of Scott Walker.

Her strong progressive values and her commitment to working constructively with County Executive Chris Abele provide great opportunity to reverse the damage that Walker’s corruption and incompetence visited upon Milwaukee County.”
