Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following the death of former Assemblyman, Senator and Railroad Commissioner Roger Breske.
“Roger Breske represented the best of service to his community. Whether it was on active and Reserve duty in the Army, in the Assembly, in the Senate or as Railroad Commissioner, he never forgot his roots in what he called, ” the most beautiful spot in the world,” northern Wisconsin. Coming from the tavern business, he always had an ear for what the working men and women of his district wanted most-good roads, good jobs, good schools a good place to call home and fairness for all citizens, whatever their walk in life. Every public servant could stand to learn from his example. Our deep sympathies for his family.”
