ICYMI: "Did Gov. Walker Lie to Congressional Committee Under Oath?"

May 21, 2012

Three Congressmen are asking that Scott Walker’s testimony to a Congressional committee be reviewed for perjury charges given recently-released video showing Walker plotting “Right-to-Work-for-Less” legislation with a billionaire donor.

Walker testified under oath to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that he had not pursued his radical “Act 10” legislation as a way to gain political power.

But recently, new video shows Walker laying out a “Divide and Conquer” strategy to Tea Party billionaire and Republican cash machine Diane Hendricks.

“It looks very much like Scott Walker has once again been caught on tape in a lie,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate. “Scott Walker may think it’s okay to lie to Congress under oath, but the people of Wisconsin do not cherish oath-breakers and grow weary with each new and documented instance of Walker’s lack of truthfulness. Oaths are supposed to mean something. To Scott Walker, they clearly do not.”
