ICYMI: "Paul Ryan campaigning as Mini-Mitt"

Sep 20, 2012

Not even Scott Walker thinks the Mitt Romney presidential campaign is going well.

As reported by Politico, Walker was on the radio show of a right-wing extremist in Wisconsin and trounced the Romney campaign for ineffective campaigning.

The story stated, “The congressman’s role now is as little more than a dutiful No. 2, tossing out attack lines to crowds on less conspicuous stops. Instead of being a catalyst for big ideas, critics believe the campaign has been stuck in a pre-Ryan messaging rut.”

The report cited Walker as saying, “I thought [picking Ryan] was a signal that this guy [Romney] was getting serious … I just haven’t seen that kind of passion.”

“Even Scott Walker someone known for lacking a grasp of the full picture — has seen a dip in the energy, enthusiasm and chances of the Romney-Ryan ticket,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on Friday. “The messaging, action and plans of the Romney-Ryan ticket are not invigorating voters — it’s turning them off. Even Scott Walker is saying ‘it’s not working.'”
