Two Days After Divisive Comments, Tommy Thompson Remains Silent
On Sunday, Tommy Thompson’s son was captured on video saying, “We have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago — or Kenya.”
Jason Thompson, a 38 year old lawyer at Micheal Best and Friedrich, was speaking for the Thompson campaign at a campaign event with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Preibus.
Now, two days later, Tommy Thompson remains silent and has yet to say one word about his son’s divisive comments. He has not apologized for his son’s comments, nor has he disavowed them.
In fact, the only thing Thompson has said is, “I haven’t seen a video,” and ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about,” when he was asked about video on Sunday night by reporters at a campaign event with Scott Walker.
Neither Thompson nor his son have yet to say one word publicly about the comments.

Buzzfeed – Jason Thompson, the son of former Governor and Wisconsin Senate candidate Tommy Thompson, speaking this morning at a brunch attended by Tommy Thompson and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said that “we have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago — or Kenya.” A woman in attendance then chimed in “we are taking donations for that Kenya trip.” A spokesman for Thompson did not immediately return a request for comment.
