WisDems Executive Director Elected to Head National Dem Organization

Apr 25, 2013

Maggie Brickerman, executive director of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, was elected president Thursday of the Association of State Democratic Executive Directors at its annual meeting in the Twin Cities.

Working for chair Mike Tate since 2009, Brickerman has helped professionalize the DPW and harness the grassroots to elect Democrats.

A Madison native, she worked previously for Assembly and Senate Democratic campaign committees, as well as communications director for former Majority Leader Thomas Nelson.

“Maggie’s election is a recognition of the level of excellence and professionalism that she has brought to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and, by doing so, has furthered our ultimate goal — to elect Democrats. Our Party is lucky to have her going into 2014, as we execute our 72 County Strategy to retake majorities in the Legislature, and to defeat Scott Walker’s attack on the economic security of our middle class,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said.
