Statement of WisDems Chair Mike Tate on Revised Jobs Numbers

May 15, 2013

Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on revised jobs numbers today released by the Walker administration.

“It’s always great news to hear that more Wisconsinites are getting back to work.

“But the fact remains that, even with the revised figures, Scott Walker is on track to only get halfway to his 250,000 jobs promise, and his flagship jobs agency lacks basic accountability measures to track job creation and taxpayer money.

“At 44th in the nation in jobs, 45th in wage growth and dead last in short term job growth, Wisconsin still is suffering compared to our neighbors in the Midwest and the rest of the nation. It’s not working.”
