New Video: 'Governor, it's not working'

Apr 14, 2014

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today released a new web video highlighting Scott Walker’s broken job creation promise to the people of Wisconsin.

As a candidate for governor in 2010, Scott Walker promised to create 250,000 jobs by the end of his first term. Unfortunately for Wisconsin workers and families, with only a few months left in office, Walker hasn’t even hit the halfway mark on his central campaign promise.

Wisconsin was 11th in the nation in job creation the day Walker took office, today we rank 35th in the nation and second to last in the Midwest. Walker’s own administration acknowledges that the governor won’t fulfill his promise, and most recently, the state Department of Workforce Development reported that unemployment rose in 69 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties last month.

Scott Walker’s trickle down economic philosophy of tax breaks for those at the top, and tax giveaways for out of state corporations just doesn’t work.

Wisconsin families can’t afford another four years of Scott Walker’s broken promises and failure. It’s time for a new direction.
