With contentious Right to Work legislation being fast-tracked through the Legislature, and Scott Walker out of the state again, promising he’ll sign the bill sight unseen, Walker clearly hopes there’s enough of a distraction to avoid the simple question he’s yet to answer — does he believe the President loves America?
But Wisconsin Democrats are still asking and so are reporters; yesterday in Washington, D.C., Craig Gilbert of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel asked Walker the yes or no question, “Do you believe the President loves America?”
Instead of answering the question honestly, below is Walker’s convoluted reply:
Walker also said he did not think former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani crossed a line with his comments that the President doesn’t love America.
By Scott Walker’s logic, no one say whether the governor loves the Packers unless they have personally asked him. Nor can anyone say whether he believes the moon landing was a hoax, hates puppies, and loves when his top aides commit crimes on his behalf. Of course the governor loves the Packers, knows the moon landing was real, and loves puppies; even his political opponents can agree. It’s absurd Walker doesn’t have enough respect for the office he seeks to acknowledge that the President of course loves America.
