Independent Fact Check Rules Ron Johnson False
Just a couple weeks into his Senate race, out-of-touch multi-millionaire Ron Johnson’s credibility as a candidate is in complete disarray. Only days after his first campaign attack was labeled “Pants on Fire,” his second campaign attack earned a false rating from the independent fact-checking group PolitiFact Wisconsin.
“Wisconsin can’t trust anything out-of-touch multi-millionaire Ron Johnson and his allies are saying after their first two attacks against Russ Feingold have been labeled false by an independent fact checker,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Melissa Baldauff said Wednesday. “Clearly the truth only gets in the way of Ron Johnson and his corporate special interest friends’ desperate attempts to hold onto his Senate seat.”
Johnson’s tough month has included voting for trade deals with disastrous consequences for Wisconsin jobs, his bizarre statements about trusting Iran’s Ayatollah more than President Obama, and now being called out by a fact checker for his false statement that “Russ Feingold was the deciding vote for Obamacare.”
