How do I register to vote?

• You can register to vote online, by mail, or in-person!
• Wisconsin has same-day registration. This means you can register at any Early Voting location, or at the polls on Election Day (November 6).  
• To register online, click here.
• To register by mail, fill out this application and mail to your local Municipal Clerk (along with proof of residence)
• You can also register in-person at your Municipal Clerk's office through Friday, November 2.

What is the deadline to register to vote?

• Wisconsin has same-day voter registration. This means you can register at any Early Voting location, or at your polling location on Election Day (November 6)
• To register online, the deadline is 11:59 p.m. on October 17.
• To register by mail, the registration application (and proof of residence) must be postmarked no later than October 17.
• To register in-person before Election Day, the deadline is November 2.

What do I need to get registered?

• You need to provide a Proof of Residence document, which proves where you live in Wisconsin. Click here for the list of acceptable Proof of Residence documents.

How do I check to see if my registration is current?

• Check your records on the Wisconsin Voter Information website.  

What do I bring to vote?

• Bring your photo ID. The address on your photo ID does NOT have to be current.  Click here for the list of acceptable photo IDs.

 What time do the polls open on Election Day?

• All polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6.

What if I’m still in line when the polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day?

• STAY IN LINE!  Everybody in-line at 8 p.m. MUST be allowed to vote.
