How do I register to vote?

  • You can register to vote online, by mail, or in-person!
  • Wisconsin has same-day registration. This means you can register at any Early Voting location, or at the polls on Election Day (November 6).  
  • To register online, click here.
  • To register by mail, fill out this application and mail to your local Municipal Clerk (along with proof of residence)
  • You can also register in-person at your Municipal Clerk's office through Friday, November 2.

 

What is the deadline to register to vote?

  • Wisconsin has same-day voter registration. This means you can register at any Early Voting location, or at your polling location on Election Day (November 6)
  • To register online, the deadline is 11:59 p.m. on October 17.
  • To register by mail, the registration application (and proof of residence) must be postmarked no later than October 17.
  • To register in-person before Election Day, the deadline is November 2.

  • All polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6.

 

What if I’m still in line when the polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day?

  • STAY IN LINE!  Everybody in-line at 8 p.m. MUST be allowed to vote.
