MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Ron Johnson’s debate performance showed once again how out of touch Ron Johnson is with Wisconsinites as he’s pursued his self-serving agenda in Washington at their expense. From lining his and his wealthiest donors’ pockets, to gloating about taking away reproductive freedom and wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare – Ron Johnson has betrayed Wisconsinites at every turn.

- WBAY: “‘Senator Johnson has sponsored eight different national abortion bans. He sponsored abortion bans that had no exceptions for rape, incest or the life of the mother. That position is too out of touch and extreme for Wisconsin,’ Barnes said.”
- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “Barnes declared: ‘In Ron Johnson’s America, women won’t get to make the best choice for their health care.’ […] ‘When it comes to the topic of abortion, it should be up to a woman and a doctor,’ Barnes said. ‘I respect everyone’s personal beliefs. I don’t believe everyone’s personal beliefs should be the law.’”
- Wisconsin Public Radio: “The Democrat then pivoted by attacking Johnson for his amendment to the Republican 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act that netted Johnson donors Dick and Liz Uihlein along with Diane Hendricks $215 million in deductions in 2018. ‘He has no problem blowing a $2 trillion hole in the deficit by voting for the 2017 tax bill that benefited corporations and the most wealthy Americans,’ Barnes said.”
- AP News: “With just over three weeks until the election, Barnes went on the attack against Johnson, saying he has “done nothing” while in office other than line his own pockets and those of his wealthy donors who benefited from former President Donald Trump’s tax cut that Johnson voted for.”
