After Saying There is No Place for Political Violence, WI-03 Rep. Derrick Van Orden Invites Civil War, Encourages Violence Against Democrats and the Media
MADISON, Wis. — At a time where most American politicians are calling for calm in the wake of the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk, WI-03 Rep. Derrick Van Orden has tweeted nearly 100 times, spewing violent rhetoric towards Democrats and the press, while also inviting a civil war and encouraging violence. This comes after he tweeted “there is no place for political violence in America.”
“At a time when everyone — Democrat, Independent, and Republican alike — should be coming together, Derrick Van Orden is doing everything he can to encourage more violence,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker. “His terrifying statements, which are inviting civil war and encouraging violence against Democrats and the media, are being completely ignored by Republicans in Wisconsin and in D.C.. They have a responsibility to tell Derrick Van Orden to stop pouring gasoline on an open flame, and I implore them to do so immediately.”
Van Orden has gone so far as to say he will go to war over Kirk’s murder, similar to how America did for 9/11.
