MADISON, Wis. — Tom Tiffany is bought and paid for by right-wing billionaires who are in full support of the same positions Tiffany has worked to advance. These MAGA billionaires funded efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Project 2025 and anti-abortion activism, protected anti-union legislators and even funded a foundation that worked to relax child labor laws and restrict access to Medicaid. 

“Tom Tiffany is bankrolled by the same billionaires responsible for funding the efforts to overturn the 2020 election and extreme anti-abortion activism,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “These billionaires are totally aligned with Tiffany, and he’s already been working for them while in Congress — he even gutted Medicaid to make a tax cut for billionaires permanent at the expense of Wisconsinites.”

$$ Election Denial

• Tiffany’s MAGA billionaire backers were major funders to groups spreading election falsehoods and contributed more than $4 million to groups who were in the “Stop the Steal” rally immediately before the deadly January 6 insurrection.

• A nonprofit led by the MAGA billionaires contributed more than $2 million within a week of the deadly January 6 attack on the capitol to conservative groups that promoted 2020 election lies or were linked to efforts to challenge the election results.

• Tiffany’s MAGA billionaire backers were the fourth highest donor to groups that assembled Project 2025. 

• Tom Tiffany voted to overturn President Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania and Arizonaand said that he would have voted to overturn Wisconsin’s election results if a vote had been held.

• Tiffany was the only Wisconsin Republican to sign the Texas brief that sued to overturn the 2020 election results in four swing states, including Wisconsin. 

• Tom Tiffany is still pushing dangerous lies and conspiracy theories about the results of the 2020 election and is actively supporting the Trump administration’s FBI probe into the election.

• Tom Tiffany said defendants convicted in the violent January 6th attacks on the Capitol could “possibly” be owed restitution in the form of taxpayer-funded payouts through Trump’s “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” 

• Tom Tiffany has refused to acknowledge that President Biden won the 2020 election several times, including as recently as 2026.

 

$$ Limiting Abortion Access

• Tiffany’s MAGA billionaire backers are well known for their anti-abortion activismand donated to groups that provided model anti-abortion laws to states.

• Following the Alabama Supreme Court ruling that embryos created for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) were legally considered children, which paused IVF treatments across the state, a group connected with Tiffany’s MAGA billionaires funneled more than half a million dollars to a pro-life Alabama Supreme Court judicial candidate.

• Tiffany’s MAGA billionaires were a major donor to a Susan B. Anthony List-affiliated PAC that sought to federally outlaw abortion.

• In Congress, Tiffany advanced a national abortion ban that American Journal News said could “make getting an abortion legally tantamount to committing murder,” eliminate access to safe abortion nationwide, and threaten fertility treatments like IVF. The ban provided no exceptions for rape, incest or life of the mother. 

• Tom Tiffany additionally co-sponsored a national six-week abortion ban — before most women know they’re pregnant — that didn’t include exceptions for rape or incest. 

• Tom Tiffany celebrated the U.S Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

• Tom Tiffany voted against Tammy Baldwin’s bipartisan Women’s Health Protection Act, and the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, which would restore Roe v. Wade as law and protect women who must travel between states to receive abortions.

• Tom Tiffany voted against the Right to Contraception Act, a bipartisan bill to protect contraception access for all Americans. 

• Tom Tiffany was endorsed by extreme state and national anti-abortion groups that oppose abortion in nearly all cases and has received an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and boasted about defunding Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin.

 

$$ Anti-Labor

• Tiffany’s MAGA billionaires were an instrumental supporter of former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s campaign against public unions and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend state senators in aggressive recall campaigns over their votes to end collective bargaining for public employees in Wisconsin.

• Tiffany’s billionaire backers even donated to an extreme organization that pushed to relax child labor laws and fought to block Medicaid expansion.

• Tom Tiffany voted to weaken child labor laws in Wisconsin. 

• Tom Tiffany called unions “kingpins” and declared he is not concerned with labor union support, despite some 200,000 Wisconsin residents employed under a union contract. 

• Tom Tiffany has one of the most anti-worker legislative records from both his time in the State Legislature and U.S. House.

• While in the state Senate, Tiffany was a close ally to former Gov. Scott Walker and in 2011 helped pass the anti-union law that ended collective bargaining rights for public employees and led to mass protests at the State Capitol. 

• Tiffany touted “Right to Work” while running for Congress and in three different terms, Tiffany co-sponsored the House bill to establish a national “Right to Work” law.
