BREAKING: Eric Hovde Skipped Out on Campaign Event in Oconto County to Sit Beachside at Laguna Beach Mansion
MADISON, Wis. — A breaking news report from Politico just revealed that California bank owner Eric Hovde ditched campaigning in Wisconsin this weekend to sit on the beach at his $7 million mansion in Laguna Beach, California. Hovde was supposed to be campaigning in Oconto County, Wisconsin.
Hovde shunned Oconto County in Wisconsin for a different OC in California, where he owns a $7 million mansion and $3 billion bank, and where he has been named one of the most influential people three years in a row. Hovde’s weak ties to Wisconsin have also made it hard for him to build support from real Wisconsinites and find people not on his payroll to be in his ads.
“Maybe if Hovde stops skipping out on Wisconsinites to lounge on the beach in his megamansion in Laguna Beach, he wouldn’t need to spend so much time defending his California ties,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
