One Year After the Signing of the IRA, Would the Prospective GOP Senate Field Side With Big Pharma or Wisconsin Families?

MADISON, Wis. — One year ago today, Tammy Baldwin took on Big Pharma–and won–with the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act. The IRA capped the cost of life-saving insulin at $35/month for folks on Medicare, made other critical investments in improving Wisconsinites’ health care, and created made-in-America jobs.

“As Republicans in Congress try to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act, Wisconsinites deserve to know where possible MAGA Senate candidates stand,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk. “Would David Clarke, Eric Hovde, and Scott Mayer would support letting their Big Pharma allies continue to rip off millions of Americans, or would they side with Tammy Baldwin to lower health care costs for Wisconsin families?”
