MADISON, Wis. — As Robin Vos continues to double down on his impeachment threats, members of his own caucus continue to appear uncomfortable with a Vos-led push to remove Justice Janet Protasiewicz.
Yesterday, in new reporting from the Capital Times, GOP Rep. Patrick Snyder took a step towards joining Rep. Scott Johnson in opposing impeachment:
With Snyder’s new comments, his rating on the WisDems Defend Justice Impeachment Tracker moves to Lean Against Removal.
“Even as Robin Vos continues to double down on his threats to launch an unlawful impeachment of a sitting Supreme Court justice, the cracks in his caucus are beginning to show,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Joe Oslund. “Already, Vos has suffered one defection, and now Patrick Snyder looks poised to join him. Our Defend Justice campaign has mobilized voters across Wisconsin to reach out to their representatives and make their voices heard on the GOP’s extreme plan to overturn this April’s election and remove Justice Protasiewicz—clearly, the pressure is working.”
