Tom Tiffany Praises Billionaire-Backed PAC That Tried To Cover Up Hit-and-Run
Tiffany: “The money is, money is crazy. Restoration PAC, who is on our side, they are putting millions of dollars in this race.”
MADISON, Wis. — Just days after Tom Tiffany’s billionaire backers were exposed for attempting to cover up a hit-and-run that left one Wisconsinite seriously injured and that Tiffany tried to disavow any affiliation with, Tiffany was caught bragging about the money they’re pouring into Wisconsin to buy the election for him.
Speaking to supporters in Appleton Saturday, Tiffany couldn’t resist praising Restoration of America PAC – the super PAC out-of-state billionaire Richard Uihlein is funding to prop up his campaign: “And yeah, the money is money is crazy. Restoration PAC, who is on our side, they are putting millions of dollars in this race, and we are- we may have the most successful by the end of this the most successful fundraising campaign of any candidate that’s run for statewide office in Wisconsin.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported last week that a canvasser for the PAC struck and grievously injured a bicyclist in Washington County and drove off. According to the criminal complaint, his supervisor responded by sending him back to his Milwaukee Airbnb and booking him a flight home.
“Tom Tiffany can’t hide his record of MAGA extremism that’s made life more expensive, and he can’t hide from the fact that out-of-state billionaires are bankrolling almost his entire campaign. Only a few days after a Wisconsinite was seriously injured by the shadowy group spending millions to support him, Tiffany can’t stop bragging about their work and the millions they’re spending on his campaign,” said WisDems Chair Devin Remiker. “Unfortunately, saying one thing and doing another behind closed doors is just who Tom Tiffany is. He’s not looking out for working families paying more for groceries, gas, or healthcare, just the billionaires writing him blank checks.”
