DVO’S DADDY OF THE WEEK: Scott Presler
It’s no secret that these midterms pose an uphill battle for Republicans like Van Orden desperately trying to hang onto their seat, who campaigned on bringing down costs, and well, we don’t need to tell you that those promises were empty. So what is Van Orden doing? He’s brought the big guns to Wisconsin—Scott Presler.

Now, if you don’t know who Scott Presler is, first, we envy you. Second, let us introduce you to him. Presler is an election denier whose claim to fame is based on his attendance at the January 6th insurrection, and now spends his days grifting on Twitter instead of getting a real job. Sounds like someone we know—looking at you, Derrick.
WORST TAKE: Teachers aren’t winning
In case you were curious as to what Van Orden thinks about teachers, we have some good news and some bad news. Good news is, Van Orden is highlighting teachers’ work, bad news is, he’s literally highlighting teachers work and using it as a way to try and discredit them.

You heard it first from Van Orden, teachers are not winning. Listen, we know we might be biased as this is a post aimed at one of our staff members, but seriously, how low can this guy go? Teachers put in countless hours of work to educate and prepare the next generation, and it’s really disheartening seeing a Republican member of Congress so blatantly disrespect them, especially considering the fact that teachers across Wisconsin struggle as a result of years of Republicans refusing to properly fund our public schools. And to tweet this at 3:35AM? Derrick, go to bed.
FOCUSED ON THE ISSUES: Poop Lady
We had a good streak going of Van Orden not tweeting about bodily fluid or private parts, but good things don’t last forever. That’s right, diesel prices are at an all time high, groceries are increasingly difficult to afford, and healthcare prices are through the roof, and Van Orden is focused on … an athlete that pooped their pants.

Sure, we saw the pictures too. This was gross. But we are almost certain this isn’t at the top of voters’ minds this election cycle. Good to know that while Wisconsinites are struggling to get by, Congressman Derrick Van Orden would rather talk about if an athlete that pooped themselves should have to give up their win 🤢.
GIVE IT UP: Van Orden continues his healthcare lie
It seems that Van Orden’s only campaign tactic this cycle is to repeatedly lie to voters about his record while not doing anything to correct it. Over a year later, Van Orden is still trying to convince voters (and perhaps even himself) that he didn’t vote to cut medicaid funding.

There isn’t much more we can say about this. Van Orden seems to keep wanting to push this lie instead of actually getting up and doing the work to make life more affordable for his constituents. Rather than fight for legislation that will lower healthcare costs, Van Orden just parrots whatever BS talking points the Trump administration gives to him, and calls it a day. And as much as we enjoy writing this newsletter and as fun as it is to laugh about him, we cannot wait to call it a day on his time in office by voting him out of office.
