Wisconsin Democrats Celebrate President Biden’s Latest Booming Jobs Report
MADISON, Wis. — Today, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Joe Oslund released the following statement after the U.S. Department of Labor announced that the U.S. economy added 303,000 new jobs in March, once again exceeding expectations and bringing the total number of jobs created under President Biden to over 15 million:
“President Biden helping to deliver over 300,000 new jobs across the country last month is the latest reminder of what’s at stake this November for Wisconsinites—and of the stark contrast between Donald Trump and President Biden. Donald Trump spent his entire presidency looking out for his ultra-wealthy friends and giving tax cuts to massive corporations before leaving office with the worst jobs record since the Great Depression. Meanwhile, President Biden has built the strongest economy in the world, growing the economy from the middle out and bottom up while helping to create more than 15 million jobs since taking office. If it were up to Trump, Wisconsinites would have fewer jobs instead of more, higher costs instead of lower, and an economic crash instead of a manufacturing boom. That’s why this November, Wisconsinites will choose to keep building on the historic progress President Biden is delivering and help send him back to the White House.”
President Biden continues to deliver in Wisconsin and across the nation where Trump failed:
- President Biden’s policies have helped create more than 15 million jobs, including 174,200 in Wisconsin. In stark contrast, Trump had the worst jobs record since the Great Depression.
- Under President Biden, the economy has seen the strongest wage growth of any recovery in 50 years. Trump has been rooting for an economic crisis for his personal political gain.
- Joe Biden is lowering drug costs and capping the price of insulin at $35 per month for seniors. Donald Trump would try to repeal the Affordable Care Act, raise drug costs, and slash Social Security and Medicare.
- Under President Biden, the national unemployment rate has remained under 4 percent for the longest stretch in half a century as his agenda continues to drive a manufacturing boom across the country. Trump’s tax scam incentivized companies to ship American jobs overseas.
