MADISON, Wis. — Today, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Joe Oslund released the following statement after the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that real gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 4.9 percent in the third quarter of 2023, showing remarkable economic growth nationwide.
“Today’s staggering GDP numbers are just further proof that Bidenomics is working. By growing a world-class economy from the bottom up and middle out, President Biden and Vice President Harris are continuing to deliver real, tangible results for working Wisconsinites. Under Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, Wisconsin families were trapped under a deeply unpopular—and ineffective—trickle-down economic agenda that handed tax breaks to wealthy corporations while forcing working families to shoulder the costs, but under President Biden and Democrats, Wisconsinites are reaping the benefits of an economy that is delivering massive gains for everyday people. That stark contrast is why Wisconsinites will reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris in 2024.”
